Nutella Chocolate Cherry Galette

This Galette is absolutely wonderful! Chocolate and Cherry is such a rich and decadent flavor combination. It's perfect for Valentine's Day - or any day that you want to indulge just a little. Since we're using a chocolate hazelnut spread for the chocolate flavor in this dessert, you could almost file this one under the healthy column... almost.

At least it's easy to make. This galette only has 3 ingredients, and can be ready in under 30 minutes! Share it with the one(s) you love, tonight.

 Printable Recipe
Ingredients:
  • 1 Pie Crust (I used a refrigerated crust)
  • 1/2 cup Chocolate Hazelnut Spread, like Nutella
  • 1 (21oz) can Cherry Pie Filling

Method:

Preheat your oven to 425 degrees.

Unroll the pie crust, and place it onto a flat baking pan or pizza stone.

Spread the chocolate hazelnut spread over the crust, leaving about a 2 inch border. (It might be helpful to melt it in the microwave for a few seconds, beforehand.)

Pour the cherry pie filling over the top of the chocolate, and spread it out evenly. Again, make sure you leave the edges of the pie crust untouched.

Gently fold the edges of the pie crust over the filling. Start with a small section and work your way around.

Bake the galette in the preheated 425 degree oven for about 20 - 25 minutes, until it's golden brown.

Allow it to cool a bit before slicing. (This will give the filling time to set.)

Serves 6 - 8

Enjoy!
