What do you do with those leftover hamburger or hot dog buns from this weekend's cookout?
Here's what you'll need:
- Hamburger (or Hot Dog) Buns
- Pizza Sauce (I used about 1/3 jar to make 8)
- Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
- Pepperoni Slices
- Additional Toppings (optional)
Now let's get started!
First things first, Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Separate the hamburger (or hot dog) buns into two pieces. Lay them crust side down on a baking sheet. Take a spoonful of pizza sauce (any brand that you like) and smear it around the pizza starting from the center and working around to the edges.
Then, sprinkle each of your pizzas with mozzarella cheese and top with your desired toppings. We used good 'ole pepperoni, but feel free to go crazy.
Bake in the preheated 350 degree oven until the cheese is melted and just beginning to brown, approximately 15 minutes. Mine were on an Airbake pan, so they took a little longer.
Now, doesn't that look yummy?! They taste a bit like little french bread pizzas and are a big hit with the kiddos!
Super Easy ... Quick Fix ... Lunch or Dinner ... Enjoy!
My kids would *LOVE* this! Seriously! :)
